About Northstar

Hospitality judgment. Real estate discipline.

Northstar was built from the belief that strong property performance depends on what happens in the details—and whether someone is consistently paying attention to them.

The founder

Yvonne Smith

Manager of Northstar Cohost LLC

Yvonne’s approach to property operations began in hospitality. With a Culinary Arts degree and a professional hospitality background spanning 2002–2012, she learned early that the guest experience is created through preparation, standards, and follow-through—not simply good intentions.

She entered real estate investing in 2020 and launched Northstar to bring that hospitality discipline into rental operations. Her work now includes quality control for management companies, virtual real estate support, full-service STR and MTR management, platform onboarding, revenue management, and owner reporting.

That combination gives Northstar a distinct point of view: serve the person in front of you while protecting the asset behind the experience.

The Northstar standard

What guides the work.

01

See the whole operation

A guest issue, missed task, pricing decision, or maintenance delay rarely exists in isolation. We look for the system around it.

02

Make accountability visible

Clear documentation and defined ownership make it easier for teams to follow through and for leaders to know what is happening.

03

Protect both sides

Hospitality and asset performance are not competing goals. Strong operations should serve the guest while protecting the owner’s property.

Systems with a human center

“Northstar brings the standards of hospitality into the systems of real estate.”

Our team works across guest communication, reporting, pricing, maintenance follow-up, platform administration, and quality control—always with a defined escalation path.
